The three- cushion world cup 2004/2 was the second UMB / CEB world cup tournament in the 18th year of the three- cushion world cup. The tournament took place from March 10-14 , 2004 in this discipline of carom billiards in Byron, a suburb of Athens . It was the fourth three-cushion World Cup tournament in Greece.

history

The second World Cup tournament that was only organized by the UMB and the CEB took place in a sports hall in Byron, a suburb of Athens. But the atmosphere in the hall was not World Cup-worthy. The same applied to the international transmission of results. The winner of the tournament was Semih Saygıner from Turkey , the current three-cushion world champion and billiards player of the year 2003 chosen in Antwerp . Only in the final against Frédéric Caudron did he have to give up two sets. The remaining games clearly went in his favor. Third place went to the world leader, Torbjörn Blomdahl, and the Belgian Eddy Merckx, who is getting better and better . Unfortunately no results of the qualification are known.

Tournament mode

The results of the qualification are not known from the documents. The main tournament was played with 32 participants.

For the first time, the 3rd place was not played out, there are now two bronze medal winners.

In the event of a tie, the following order will be applied:
