Messanges is a French municipality with 968 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of land in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Dax and the canton of Marensin-Sud .
geography
The municipality is located around 150 kilometers south of Bordeaux and 45 kilometers north of Biarritz in the Landes de Gascogne . The municipality of Messanges also includes two beaches on the Atlantic coast on the Bay of Biscay .
Neighboring municipalities are Moliets-et-Maa in the north, Azur in the east, Soustons in the southeast and Vieux-Boucau-les-Bains in the south.
