Arlbergliga
General
The Arlbergliga counted next to the Tauern League to the second level on an amateur basis. The master took part in the qualification for the State League A. The league originally consisted of 12 teams, but SC Kufstein resigned in protest against sanctions imposed on November 11, 1953, from the league, which was then played to the end with 11 teams. Since Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz was the first Vorarlberg team to be promoted to the state league A in the relegation games, Kufstein was the only relegated team this season.
