Buchholz is a municipality in the Duchy of Lauenburg in Schleswig-Holstein . It is located on the west bank of the Ratzeburg Lake in the Lauenburg Lakes Nature Park .

history

Buchholz was first mentioned in a document in 1277. It belonged to the Duchy of Lauenburg as early as the Middle Ages and the beginning of the modern era .
