DHB Cup 2008/09

This article describes the 2008/09 men's DHB Cup in Germany. For the women's competition, see DHB Women's Cup 2008/09 .

The handball games for the men's DHB Cup 2008/09 took place between August 2008 and May 2009. The final round, the Final Four , was played on May 9 and 10, 2009 in the Color Line Arena in Hamburg . The THW Kiel , who had won the previous season's fifth title was defending champion. The 2009 DHB Cup winner was THW Kiel with a 30:24 win over VfL Gummersbach .

The dates for the 1st round were August 30th and 31st, 2008, September 24th, 2008 for the 2nd round and October 22nd, 2008 for the 3rd round. The round of 16 took place on December 17, 2008, the quarter-finals on March 11, 2009 and the Final Four on 9/10. May 2009.

In the 1st cup championship round, the clubs were divided into two groups according to geographical aspects.
In the rounds up to the quarter-finals, the lower division always had the home right over the higher division.
