Großberghausen is a village in Hückeswagen in the Oberbergisches Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Großberghausen lies in the eastern part of Hückeswagen above the Bevertalsperre . Neighboring towns are Kleinberghausen , Schmitzberg , Busche , Tannenbaum , Hartkopsbever , Käfernberg and Reinshagenbever . The place is on the district road K12 between Mickenhagen and the dam of the Bevertalsperre.

history

In 1484 the place was first mentioned in church accounts as Berchusen . In the map Topographia Ducatus Montani in 1715 the yard is as Bergenhusen located.

In the 18th century the place belonged to the Bergisches Amt Bornefeld-Hückeswagen . In 1815/16 31 people lived in the village. In 1832 Großberghausen was the titular place of the Berghauser Honschaft , which was part of the Hückeswagen external citizenship within the Hückeswagen mayor . The place, categorized as a hamlet according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had four residential buildings and four agricultural buildings at that time. At that time 53 people lived in the place, 13 Catholic and 40 Protestant faith.

In the municipality lexicon for the province of Rhineland , seven houses with 76 inhabitants are given for 1885. At that time the place belonged to the rural community Neuhückeswagen within the Lennep district . In 1895 the place had seven houses with 67 inhabitants, in 1905 seven houses and 52 inhabitants.
