Lussat is a French commune in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region of central France. The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Riom , is part of the canton of Aigueperse (until 2015: canton of Pont-du-Château ) and has 917 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

Lussat is located about 12 kilometers northwest of Clermont-Ferrand in Limagne . Lussat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chappes in the north, Chavaroux in the east and north-east, Les Martres-d'Artière in the east and south-east, Pont-du-Château in the south and south-west, Malintrat in the south-west and Saint-Beauzire in the west and north-west.
