Leslie Elizabeth Bullock Andrews (born February 12, 1911 in Geneva , Alabama , † December 2, 2002 in Birmingham , Alabama) was an American politician ( Democratic Party ). She was the wife of Congressman George William Andrews .

Career

Elizabeth Andrews attended the public school in Geneva. She then graduated from Montevallo College with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1932 . Then she worked as a teacher. She was elected to the 92nd Congress in a by-election to fill the vacancy created by the death of her husband. In 1972 she decided against running for the 93rd Congress . Andrews is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Union Springs, Alabama.
