Gaston A. Robbins

Gaston Ahi Robbins (born September 26, 1858 in Goldsboro , Wayne County , North Carolina , † February 22, 1902 in New York City ) was an American lawyer and politician ( Democratic Party ).

Career

Gaston Ahi Robbins moved to Randolph County, North Carolina. There he attended Trinity College ( Durham ) and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1879 . He studied law , was in 1880 admitted to the bar and then began in Selma ( Alabama ) to practice.

Robbins also had a political career. He was elected to the 53rd US Congress , where he served from March 4, 1893 to March 3, 1895. Robbins was re-elected to the 54th and 56th Congresses , but both elections were successfully contested by Republican William F. Aldrich , serving in the US House of Representatives from March 4, 1895 to March 13, 1895 and then from Was active from March 4, 1899 to March 8, 1900. He then returned to practice as a lawyer in New York City, where he died in 1902. He was buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville, North Carolina.
