Glenn Andrews

Arthur Glenn Andrews (* 15. January 1909 in Anniston , Alabama ; †  25. September 2008 ) was an American politician of the Republican Party .

Glenn Andrews first attended public schools in Birmingham , then Phillips High School and Mercersburg Academy . In 1931 he graduated from Princeton University with a bachelor's degree . He then worked for the National City Bank of New York , IBM and a subsidiary of Eastman Kodak .

In 1956 he ran for a seat in the Alabama House of Representatives , then still a member of the Democrats . In 1958 he ran for the office of Secretary of State , which was also unsuccessful. In 1964 he was elected to the House of Representatives of the United States after a party change for the Republicans , to which he was a member from January 3, 1965 to January 3, 1967. His attempt at re-election failed, as did a renewed candidacy in 1970. From 1973 to 1985 he worked at the bankruptcy court.
