Felix Grundy McConnell

Felix Grundy McConnell (born April 1, 1809 in Nashville , Davidson County , Tennessee , † September 10, 1846 in Washington, DC ) was an American lawyer and politician ( Democratic Party ).

Career

Felix Grundy McConnell moved to Fayetteville, Tennessee with his parents in 1811 . There he received a limited education and became a saddler. McConnell then moved in 1834 to Talladega ( Alabama ). He studied law , was admitted to the bar in 1836 and then began practicing in Talladega.

He also pursued a political career. He was a member of the Alabama House of Representatives in 1838 . He was then a member of the Alabama Senate between 1839 and 1843 . Then he was elected to the 28th US Congress . He was re-elected to the subsequent US Congress . McConnell served in the US House of Representatives from March 4, 1843 until his death. He was buried in the Congressional Cemetery .
