Heidt is a court in Hückeswagen in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany).

Location and transport links

Heidt is located in western Hückeswagen near the larger district of Wiehagen . Other neighboring towns are Winterhagen , Westhofen , Westhoferhöhe , Junkernbusch , Grünenthal and Kammerforsterhöhe . The village is located in a small area that is enclosed by the federal road 237 (B237) and the state roads L101 and L68.

A source brook of the Dörpe brook rises near Heidt and flows into the Dörpe pre-dam of the Wuppertalsperre .

The place may have been mentioned for the first time in 1487 . A Wilhelm van dem Heyde is on the loan list for Duke Wilhelm III. von Berg , but it is not certain which of the Hückeswagen places Heide / Heidt / Heydt is meant in this document. The spelling of the first mention was Heyde . The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows the farm as a Heid . In the 18th century the place belonged to the Bergisches Amt Bornefeld-Hückeswagen .

In 1832, Heidt belonged under the name Heyd to the Grand Honorship , which was part of the Hückeswagen external citizenship within the Hückeswagen mayor's office . The place, categorized as a hamlet according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had five residential buildings and four agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, 31 residents lived in the place, ten Catholic and 21 Protestant.
