The knotfest is since 2012 yearly forming in several cities Music Festival , the American US from the metal band Slipknot was launched.
history
In June 2012 the musicians of the band Slipknot announced the Knotfest, during which the first Slipknot Museum was opened. The first Knotfest was held on August 17, 2012 in Council Bluffs , Iowa at the Mid-America Motorplex and a day later at the Somerset Amphitheater in Somerset , Wisconsin . Bands like Lamb of God , Deftones and Cannibal Corpse performed at the first festival .
No Knotfest was held in 2013. In early 2014 it was announced that the Knotfest would be held for the first time outside the United States on November 15 and 16, 2014, in the Japanese city of Chiba on the premises of the Makuhari Messe . The US version of the music festival took place between October 24th and 26th, 2014 at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino , California . In addition to the headliner Slipknot, Korn , Bring Me the Horizon , Papa Roach , Five Finger Death Punch , In Flames and Trivium also played at the second edition of the music festival . The festival was attended by more than 50,000 people.
On October 24th and 25th, 2015, the third edition of the Knotfest will take place again in San Bernardino. Gwar , Corrosion of Conformity and Beartooth appearances have been announced. The festival will visit Mexico for the first time on December 5, 2015 . The music festival will take place at the Foro Pegaso in Toluca . In an interview, Corey Taylor stated that he was planning to host several festivals in the States, Canada and Mexico.
