  • Bamako / Mali : In a mass panic in the Gabriel Toure Stadium, at least 36 people are killed and more than 112 others are injured.
  • Kunduz / Afghanistan : At least 30 people are killed and more than 40 others are injured in a suicide attack in a government building.
  • Tripoli / Libya : In response to the ongoing protests , the government under Muammar al-Gaddafi has parts of the capital bombed from the air. Over 560 people are said to have been killed since the unrest began.
