- Niamey / Niger : In the presidential election , Mahamadou Issoufou won 36 percent and Seini Oumarou won 23.2 percent of the vote; both candidates will run for a runoff on March 12, 2011. In the parliamentary elections held at the same time, Mahamadou Issoufou's Nigerien Party for Democracy and Socialism wins 39 out of 113 seats in parliament.
