List of tributaries of the Weser

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

(back) to the tributary section in the Weser article

The following list contains almost all tributaries and brooks of the upper Weser up to Porta Westfalica (Weser-km 198), all tributaries with a designated catchment area on the Mittelweser and all with a catchment area of at least 20 km² on the Unterweser (from Weser-km 361 , 1 and 366.72). The natural area on the Upper Weser shows the one from which the tributary flows into the Weser valley, while on the Central and Lower Weser only the three-digit main unit is recorded. If the main unit of the source deviates from the one near the mouth, the main unit, in individual cases also the finer natural area of the source, is indicated underneath and separated by a slash; several slashes mean a corresponding number of main units in between.

In addition, there is a summary of the characteristics of the respective valley section in front of each natural section of the Weser Valley. You can also jump directly to the 7 main valley sections of the Weser:

  1. → Weser breakthrough valley (Unit 370.3)
  2. → Holzmindener Wesertal (main unit 367)
  3. → Weserengtal from Bodenwerder (368)
  4. → Rinteln-Hameln Wesertal (366; 4 subsections)
  5. → Middle Wesertal (583; 3 subsections)
  6. → Verden Weser Valley (620)
  7. → Wesermarsch (612; 2 subsections)

You can sort by name to get a list of all sections together with sub-sections and properties.

The Hessian Service shows the Weser kilometers above the mouth of the Diemel if the difference to the Weser length of 451.2 km is calculated. On parts of the Mittelweser and Unterweser, in the BfN service, protected areas are displayed every 2 km when the scale 1: 25,000 is selected for the Weser and Unterweser km; to those of the Lower Weser you have to add 366.7 (2) km.
