Ahaxe - Saint-Julien d'Antioche church

Ahaxe-Alciette-Bascassan ( Basque Ahatsa-Altzieta-Bazkazane ) is a French municipality with 274 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Bayonne and the canton of Montagne Basque (until 2015: Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port ).

The municipality is part of the Pays de Cize in Lower Navarra . Districts are: Ahaxachilo, Ahaxamendy, Ahaxe, Alciette, Bascassan, Bastida, Dorrea, Garatehegi, Gastelua, Idioinea and Kapila.

Neighboring municipalities are: Bussunarits-Sarrasquette in the north, Saint-Jean-le-Vieux in the northwest, Aincille in the west, Estérençuby and Lecumberry in the south.
