Larressore is a French commune with 2,053 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Larressore belongs to the Arrondissement of Bayonne and the canton of Baïgura et Mondarrain (until 2015: canton of Ustaritz ). The inhabitants are called Larresoroar .
geography
Larressore is located about 13 kilometers south-southeast of Bayonne on the Nive in the French Basque Country and the historic Labourd landscape . Larressore is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ustaritz in the north and northwest, Jatxou in the north and northeast, Halsou in the east and northeast, Cambo-les-Bains in the east, Itxassou in the south and southeast and Espelette in the south and west.

economy
The place is one of the ten municipalities that are allowed to grow and sell the Basque pepper Piment d'Espelette under the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) designation of origin.
