Ainhoa is a French commune in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It has 672 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) and is classified as one of the Plus beaux villages de France ( Most Beautiful Villages in France ).

The village is located in the French part of the Basque Country on the border with Spain , about 17 kilometers from the Atlantic coast.
