Urcuit Town Hall

Urcuit ( Basque Urketa ) is a French municipality with 2492 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Urcuit belongs to the Arrondissement of Bayonne and is part of the canton of Nive-Adour (until 2015: canton of Saint-Pierre-d'Irube ). The inhabitants are called Urcuitois .

geography

Urcuit is about ten kilometers east of Bayonne at the confluence of the Ardanavy and the Adour . Urcuit is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Martin-de-Seignanx in the north and north-west, Saint-Barthélemy in the north-east, Urt in the east, Briscous in the south and south-east, Mouguerre in the south-west and Lahonce in the west.
