Arbonne ( Basque : Arbona ) is a French municipality with 2223 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Arbonne belongs to the Arrondissement of Bayonne and the canton of Ustaritz-Vallées de Nive et Nivelle (until 2015: canton of Ustaritz ). The inhabitants are called Arbonars .

geography

Arbonne is about eleven kilometers southwest of Bayonne in the French Basque Country and the historic Labourd countryside . Arbonne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Biarritz in the north, Arcangues in the east, Ahetze in the south and south-west and Bidart in the west and north-west.

The former route nationale 132 (today's D932) runs through the municipality .
