Saint-Pierre-d'Irube ( Basque Hiriburu ) is a French municipality with 4844 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Saint-Pierre-d'Irube belongs to the Arrondissement of Bayonne and was the chief town ( chef-lieu ) of the canton of Saint-Pierre-d'Irube until its dissolution in 2015 , since then it has belonged to the canton of Nive-Adour . The inhabitants are called Saint-Pierrot (Basque: Hiriburutar ).
