Attigny is a French commune in the Vosges department of Region Grand Est . It is part of the Neufchâteau arrondissement and the Vosges Côté Sud Ouest community association founded in 2017 .

Attigny, with 230 inhabitants (January 1, 2017), is located approx. 20 kilometers southeast of Vittel and approx. 40 kilometers southwest of Épinal in southwest Lorraine.

From the northeast to the southwest, the upper Saône crosses the municipality in numerous twists and turns , and to the south of the core town it receives the ore coming from the east . About a quarter of the community area is covered by forests. The forest Bois d'Attigny is part of a branched, over 100 km² large contiguous forest area that extends into the Franche-Comté region .

Attigny includes the districts of La Grange Jacquot, Le Cras and Le Parpari .

Neighboring municipalities of Attigny are Darney in the north and northeast, Hennezel in the east, Claudon in the south, Monthureux-sur-Saône in the southwest, Bleurville in the west and Nonville and Belmont-lès-Darney in the northwest.

The D 5 trunk road from Darney to Corre runs through Attigny . There is a connection to the A 31 autoroute in Bulgnéville 26 kilometers to the north-west .
