from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Peugeot Type 501 is an early car model from the French car manufacturer Peugeot , 201 of which were produced at the Sochaux plant from 1913 to 1914 .

The vehicles had a four-cylinder four - stroke engine , which was arranged at the front and propelled the rear wheels via cardan shafts. The engine developed 10 hp from a displacement of 1,847 cm³ .

With a wheelbase of 280 cm and a track width of 135 cm, the vehicle length was between 400 cm and 450 cm, the vehicle width 180 cm and the vehicle height between 160 cm and 270 cm. The body shape of the delivery van offered space for two people, the taxi for six people.

The type designation, which is atypical for a Peugeot model from the 1910s, has its origin in the fact that it is a commercial vehicle chassis.
