Uza (also: Uza-les-Forges , Occitan : Husar ) is a French municipality with 195 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of land in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Dax and the canton of Côte d'Argent (until 2015: Canton Castets ). The inhabitants are called Uzaquois .

geography

Uza is located about 38 kilometers north of Dax on the Canal de Contis in the Pays de Born . Uza is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mézos in the north and northeast, Lévignac in the east and southeast, Lit-et-Mixe in the south and west and Saint-Julien-en-Born in the west.
