Bosbüll ( Danish : Bosbøl, Frisian : Bousbel) is a municipality in the district of North Friesland in Schleswig-Holstein .

Geography and traffic

Bosbüll is located near the Danish border, directly west of federal highway 5 , the green coastal road on the border between Geest and Marsch . The nearest station is Niebüll station , but in future Bosbüll will have its own stop on the Niebüll – Tønder railway line .

history

Bosbüll became an independent municipality in 1869, but was merged with Klixbüll in 1883 . Bosbüll has been independent again since 1958.

politics

Community representation

Since the local elections in 2008, the local electoral community (WGB) has held all nine seats in the municipal council. This distribution of seats was also made after the election on May 8, 2018. The turnout for this vote was 62.8 percent.
