Parish Garding is a municipality in the district of North Friesland in Schleswig-Holstein . Sandwehle, Borsthusen, Hülkenhöll, Südermarsch, Marne, Nordermarsch, Leegesee and Garding Geest are located in the municipality.
Geography and traffic
The parish of Garding is located about 12 km west of Tönning on the Eiderstedt peninsula and surrounds the town of Garding . The federal road 202 and the Husum – Bad St. Peter-Ording railway line run through the town.
The district of Sandwehle, which is named after an old dike breach , is located in the municipality. It was only after the Second World War that this valley was filled in, fortified and released for building.
history
The parish emerged from the parish of Garding, the area from which the inhabitants visited the church in Garding. When Garding was granted city rights in 1590 , the city became independent and administratively separated from the rest of the parish.
Community representation
In the local elections on May 26, 2013, the community of voters Dorfgemeinschaft Kirchspiel Garding (DKG) won all nine seats. The turnout was 51.5 percent.
