Hude is a municipality in the district of North Friesland in Schleswig-Holstein .

Geography and traffic

Hude is about 12 km southeast of Husum and about 5 km northeast of Friedrichstadt on the border between Marsch and Geest . Bundesstraße 202 , which connects Friedrichstadt with Rendsburg , runs south of the municipality .

Hude is one of the so-called Hude places , which form a group of a few place names (e.g. Hude in the district of Oldenburg) but a few hundred prefixes and suffixes to place names. They are common in Holstein (scattered to Schleswig , Hamburg (Winterhude) and Mecklenburg ) and Lower Saxony .

history

In the course of 1934 the parish land community Schwabstedt was dissolved. All of their village communities, village communities and farmers became independent communities / rural communities, including Hude on April 1, 1934.
