The Copa del Generalísimo 1969/70 was the 66th edition of the Spanish soccer cup competition , which takes place today under the name Copa del Rey .
The competition started on September 24, 1969 and ended with the final on June 28, 1970 at Camp Nou in Barcelona . The defending champion of the cup competition was Atlético Bilbao . Real Madrid won the title by beating Valencia CF 3-1 in the final . This qualified the Madrilenians for the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1970/71 .
