The Peugeot Type 172 is a car model of the French car manufacturer Peugeot , 57,932 of which were produced in the Beaulieu and Sochaux plants from 1922 to 1929 .

The model, which at least from 1922 to 1924 was also called the Quadrilette , was the successor to the Peugeot Type 161 .

The vehicles had a four-cylinder four - stroke engine , which was arranged at the front and propelled the rear wheels via cardan shafts.
