Trident was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company started producing automobiles in 1919. The brand name was Trident . Trident Federated Exporters Ltd from London imported the vehicles to England . Production ended in 1920. The plan to also produce the vehicles in England was not put into practice.

The only model looked like a tricycle with the single wheel in the front. In fact, there were two wheels at the front, which were arranged close together. The two-cylinder engine with 8 hp was mounted on the left, the clutch and three-speed gearbox on the right of the front wheels. The open body offered space for two people in a row. There were also versions as a taxi with space for one passenger and as a delivery van. The original price in England was 160 pounds sterling .
