Daniel Bailey Ryall

Daniel Bailey Ryall (born January 30, 1798 in Trenton , New Jersey , †  December 17, 1864 in Freehold , New Jersey) was an American politician . Between 1839 and 1841 he represented the state of New Jersey in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Daniel Ryall attended public schools in his home country as well as the Trenton Academy . After studying law and being admitted to the bar in 1820, he began to work in this profession in Freehold. At the same time he embarked on a political career as a member of the Democratic Party . In 1831 and between 1833 and 1835 he was a member of the New Jersey General Assembly , of which he was president from 1833 to 1835.

In the congressional election of 1838 Ryall was elected for the fifth seat of New Jersey in the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC , where he succeeded Charles C. Stratton on March 4, 1839 . Until March 3, 1841, he was able to complete a legislative period in Congress . After his tenure in the US House of Representatives, Ryall practiced law again. Politically, he no longer appeared. He died in Freehold on December 17, 1864.
