history

The Renneweg was first mentioned in a document in 1342. It began not far from the Laufer Tor near Judenbühl (today Nuremberg City Park ). Small settlements emerged there outside the Nuremberg city walls.

In 1796 Rennweg came to Prussia and in 1810 to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, the tax district and the rural community Erlenstegen were formed in 1813 , to which Rennweg also belonged. With the second community edict (1818) the rural community Rennweg was formed, to which Bretzengarten , Deumentenhof , Rechenberg , Schallershof , Schoppershof , Schübelsberg , Veilhof , Weigelshof , Winzelbürg and Wöhrder Kirchhof belonged. It was subordinate to the Erlangen Regional Court in administration and jurisdiction and to the Erlangen Rent Office for financial administration . In the voluntary jurisdiction, 1 property from 1823 to 1835 was subject to the Leyh Patrimonial Court . As a result of the Nuremberg Peace Treaty of 1825, the Wöhrder churchyard was separated from the community. From 1826 Rennweg was under the administration and jurisdiction of the Nuremberg Regional Court and the Nuremberg Rent Office ( renamed the Nuremberg Tax Office in 1920 ). From 1862 Rennweg was administered by the Nuremberg District Office (renamed the Nuremberg District in 1938 ). Jurisdiction has been with the Nuremberg District Court since 1880 . On January 1, 1865, Rennweg was incorporated into the city of Nuremberg , the rural community of Schoppershof was formed from the remaining places.
