Nassau synagogue districts

The Nassau Circumscription of the Synagogue Districts of January 7, 1852 regulated the administration of the Jewish communities in the Duchy of Nassau and the allocation of the Jewish residents to synagogue districts.

This ordinance regulated the structure of the Jewish community administrations: At the top was a head appointed by the state, supported by two representatives elected from the community. Regulations were also made on the computers of the Jewish religious communities and the "Israelitische Centralcultusfonds".

According to the “Ordinance Gazette of the Duchy of Nassau” of January 12, 1852, the following synagogue districts were created.
