Tilhouse ( Gascognisch : Telhosa ) is a French town with 221 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Bagnères-de-Bigorre and the canton of La Vallée de l'Arros et des Baïses (until 2015: canton of Lannemezan ). The inhabitants are called Tilhousais .

geography

Tilhouse is located about 23 kilometers southeast of Tarbes on the Lannemezan plateau . The Arros limits the community to the west. Tilhouse is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Benqué-Molère in the north and west, Capvern in the north and east, Avezac-Prat-Lahitte in the south and south-east and Sarlabous in the south-west.
