Loudervielle is a French commune with 54 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Bagnères-de-Bigorre and the canton of Neste, Aure et Louron .

geography

The municipality is located in the historic province of Bigorre in the Pays d'Aure countryside . Neighboring municipalities are Mont in the north, Portet-de-Luchon in the northeast, Garin in the east, Gouaux-de-Larboust in the southeast, Germ in the south, Loudenvielle in the southwest and Estarvielle and Armenteule in the northwest. The location of the municipality capital is on the right flank of the valley called Vallée du Louron , above the Neste du Louron river , which runs through Bordères-Louron at the bottom of the valley . The majority of the municipal area is predominantly impassable mountainous terrain at high altitudes and forests up to 2000 meters. As this is hardly populated, the overall population density is extremely low.
