geography
The municipality is located around 60 kilometers (as the crow flies) southeast of Tarbes , in the historic province of Bigorre , in the Pays d'Aure countryside . - Jurvielle in the east (Haute-Garonne department),
- Portet-du-Luchon in the southeast (Haute-Garonne department),
- Loudervielle to the south and west as well
- Estarviell in the northwest.
The location of the municipality's capital is on the right flank of the valley called Vallée du Louron , high above the Neste du Louron river , which runs in the valley floor.
