Ilhet is a French commune with 118 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitania region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Bagnères-de-Bigorre and to the Aure Louron community association founded in 1995 .
geography
The municipality of Ilhet is located in the Pyrenees in the Bigorre an der Neste region , about 20 kilometers south of Lannemezan and 35 kilometers north of the border with Spain . The community area of 8.02 km² extends along the right bank of the nest as well as over several side valleys and the wooded mountains in between, which in the north of the community reach heights of over 1000 meters above sea level. The rocky summit of the Pic de Trespics on the southern border of the municipality reaches 1436 m . The highest point, at 1546 m, is marked by an unnamed summit in the southeastern tip of the community area. The municipality of Ilhet includes the hamlets of Aréulet, Tourtères, Segrette, Pujo, Peybéqué, Maison Soldat, Castet, La Hèche and Mailhagut as well as several individual mountain farms. Ilhet is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sarrancolin in the north-west, north, north-east and east and Beyrède-Jumet-Camous in the south and south-west.
