Montastruc ( identical in Occitan ) is a municipality with 233 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the French department of Hautes-Pyrénées in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the canton of La Vallée de l'Arros et des Baïses (until 2015: canton Galan ) in the arrondissement of Bagnères-de-Bigorre . The residents call themselves Montastrucais .
geography
Montastruc is about 22 kilometers east of Tarbes on the Baïse . Neighboring communities are Bonnefont in the north, Libaros in the northeast, Galan in the east and northeast, Bonrepos in the southeast, Castelbajac and Burg in the south and Bernadets-Dessus in the west.
