The building of the mayor's office and the school fell victim to a fire on the night of January 16-15, 1907.
Toponymy
The Occitan name of the community is Hereishet. It has its origin in the Latin fraxinus , which together with a suffix -etum means "place planted with ash trees".
A nickname of the inhabitants of the municipality is Eths sarnalhèrs ( German those who like to bask in the sun like lizards ), a reference to the sunny location. Two lizards are also depicted on the coat of arms.

- Parish Church of Saint-Saturnin. The church has its origins in the Romanesque in the 12th century. It consists of a single nave , a semicircular apse with a vaulted ceiling and a small bell gable with two recesses for the bells. In 1779 a large entrance portal was created on the north side . The entrance is framed with a gray marbled limestone. The door leaves are decorated with rod ornamentation. The sacristy probably also dates from the 18th century.
