  • Bucharest / Romania : The Prosecutor General of Romania is bringing charges against former President Ion Iliescu and two other ex-politicians. The trigger for this is the clarification of the question of who is responsible for the deaths of several hundred civilians after Nicolae Ceaușescu fled .
  • Washington, DC / United States : US President Donald Trump announces that the elite unit of the Islamic Republic of Iran , the Revolutionary Guards , will be classified as a terrorist organization. This is the first time that the United States has classified a military unit from another state as a terrorist organization. This measure is intended to prevent financial aid for the Revolutionary Guards.
