- Berlin / Germany : The party executive of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) initiates a third party regulation procedure against Thilo Sarrazin . According to the SPD General Secretary Lars Klingbeil , the basis is a report by a commission of inquiry into Sarrazin's previous statements and publications. The commission came to the conclusion "that Sarrazin propagates theses which are incompatible with the principles of the SPD and cause serious damage to the party". - Berlin / Germany : The federal executive committee of Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) decides to initiate party exclusion proceedings against Doris von Sayn-Wittgenstein , chairwoman of the AfD Schleswig-Holstein , who has been in office since July 2017, and to exclude her from exercising her party offices until the competent arbitration tribunal has decided. Relotius has since returned all of its prizes. Der Spiegel researched all previously published texts for their truthfulness and was able to determine further cases of fraud and discrepancies, including reports from the Syrian civil war or during an interview with Traute Lafrenz on September 28, 2018.
- London / United Kingdom : At 9 p.m. GMT, flight operations at Gatwick Airport were temporarily suspended. One or more drones were spotted repeatedly over the airport premises.
