Castillon is a French commune with 83 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Bagnères-de-Bigorre and the canton of La Vallée de l'Arros et des Baïses (until 2015: canton of Lannemezan ).

The inhabitants are called Castillonais and Castillonaises .

Castillon is located about six kilometers northeast of Bagnères-de-Bigorre in the historic vice-county of Nébouzan .

Population development

• The long-distance hiking trail GR 78, called La voie des Piémonts , leads from Carcassonne to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, also through the center of Castillon. It is considered the Camino de Santiago alongside the four main routes in France.
• The GR de Pays Tour des Baronnies de Bigorre long-distance hiking trail runs parallel to the GR 78 and also runs through the center of the municipality.
