The Ligue 1 2006/07 was the 69th season of the highest French football league. The season began on August 4, 2006 with the opening game FC Nantes Atlantique against defending champions Olympique Lyon (1: 3) and ended on May 26, 2007.

As in the previous two years, Olympique Lyon was the measure of all things. Lyon ended the season with a 17-point lead and won their sixth championship title in a row. Olympique Marseille came in second, Toulouse FC third and Stade Rennes fourth . Descended are ES Troyes AC , newly promoted CS Sedan and FC Nantes.
