The defending champion was FC Pasching , who won the title as the first regional league team in the preseason .
The final of the ÖFB Cup 2013/14 was held on May 18, 2014 in the Wörthersee Stadium in Klagenfurt . Only in a final match between SK Rapid Wien and FK Austria Wien would it have been played in the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna. All finals of the ÖFB Cup can be found in the list of ÖFB Cup finals .
For the second time, the competition was held without the preliminary round and without the participation of amateur teams, whereby the relegation losers in the first round do not receive automatic home rights. Live games before the quarter-finals are agreed with Sporteo .
The games of the ÖFB Cup are not only a question of prestige, but also a battle for prize money. The participants in the second round receive an entry fee of 4000 euros . They will receive 8,000 euros in the second round, 25,000 euros in the quarterfinals and 40,000 euros in the semi-finals. The two finalists will be rewarded with 120,000 euros. Then there is the advertising revenue and the shared viewer revenue.

- Vienna: 5
- Upper Austria, Styria: 6 each
- Lower Austria: 7
Remarks
- ↑ The Bundesliga teams of the 2012/13 season are firmly qualified for the first main round. You can be relegated to the first division, but all participants in the first division take part in this round.
- ↑ According to the statutes, FC Liefering is independent, but since it is under the control of Red Bull, it is to be regarded as a second club of FC Red Bull Salzburg. The promotion to the first division was still permitted by the ÖFB, but the club does not participate in the cup. (see The League made it official: LASK failed to Red Bull. Upper Austrian News, June 28, 2013, accessed on 3 July 2013 . ) Instead, the moves TSV St. Johann as losers of Landescup-finals of the Salzburger Land Association after.
- ↑ The winner of the Landescup, SC-ESV Parndorf 1919, has already qualified for the cup competition as a climber to the 2013/14 First League , so ASV Draßburg is taking part as a defeated cup finalist.
- ↑ SCR Altach II , the winner of the Vorarlberg Soccer Cup 2012/13 is not entitled to participate in the ÖFB Cup. Therefore the defeated finalist Dornbirner SV is qualified for the first round.

Results
The first round matches were drawn on July 1, 2013.
The first round brought exciting games, numerous goals and a few surprises. Eight games went into overtime, six of which were only decided on penalties; For example, the clash between LASK Linz and SK Rapid Wien, which the regional league team won 5-4 on penalties after goalless extra time against the Bundesliga club and threw the record champions out of the competition in the first round. With the newly promoted SV Grödig it caught a second Bundesliga club. After a 1-1 draw in extra time in the local derby at SV Austria Salzburg, the Grödigers were beaten 5-6 on penalties. The hero of the game was goalkeeper Stefan Ebner, who blocked three penalties. The penalty shoot-out between 1. SC Sollenau and the Wiener Sportklub, which was decided 5: 4 for Sollenau after a 1-1 in extra time, was also dramatic. Viilacher SV and WSG Swarovski Wattens also fought an exciting duel. Already during the game the lead changed constantly. With a 4: 4 it went into extra time, which ended 5: 5. In the penalty shootout, Villach finally prevailed 5-4.
