  1. Due to Michael Rasmussen's departure after the 16th stage, there was no wearer of the yellow jersey on the 17th stage
  2. Txurruka wore the red start number for the most combative driver both in the individual time trial on the 13th stage and on the 14th stage to the Plateau de Beille, as the jury did not appoint the most combative driver after the time trial
  3. Txurruka wore the red start number for the most combative driver on the 20th stage to Paris, as he was named the most combative driver of the entire tour
  4. Freddy Bichot was not awarded the red number because the tour ended
  5. Due to the withdrawal of Team Astanas on the rest day before the 16th stage, there were no bearers of the yellow start number on the 16th stage
