coat of arms
Blazon : “Split; in front in red a golden wing turned left; in the back a blue millstone in gold over two diagonally crossed blue lifting hooks. "
The coat of arms and the flag were designed by the Schwerin heraldist Heinz Kippnick . It was approved together with the flag on January 30, 2003 by the Ministry of the Interior and registered under No. 274 of the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. |
|
Justification of the coat of arms: In the coat of arms, the wing stands for the species-rich fauna of the area, in particular for the cranes. At the same time, the number of the wing springs should refer to the number of districts. With the millstone and the lifting hoes, the visual reference to the place name Möllenhagen , which has been used since the 16th century , is to be established, whereby the lifting hoes point to the name component "-hagen" and to the place newly created by clearing forest areas in the course of land development under German law refer. The tinging of the coat of arms in blue, gold and red indicates that the municipality belongs to the Mecklenburg region. |
flag
The flag has yellow and red stripes evenly across the longitudinal axis of the flag cloth. In the middle of the flag, spanning a third of the length of the yellow and red stripes, is the municipal coat of arms, which is two thirds of the height of the flag. The length of the flag is related to the height as 5: 3.
Official seal
The official seal shows the municipal coat of arms with the inscription "GEMEINDE MÖLLENHAGEN • LANDKREIS MECKLENBURGISCHE SEENPLATTE".
