Montagnac is a French commune with 208 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gard department in the Occitanie region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Nîmes and the canton of Quissac (until 2015: canton of Saint-Mamert-du-Gard ). The inhabitants are called Montagnacois .

Montagnac is located 20 kilometers northwest of Nîmes . Montagnac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mauressargues in the north, Saint-Geniès-de-Malgoirès in the north-east, Montignargues in the east, Saint-Bauzély in the south-east, Fons in the south and south-east, Moulézan in the west and south-west and Aigremont in the north-west.
