Husselske (Ukrainian Гусельське ; Russian Гусельское / Gusselskoje ) is an urban-type settlement in eastern Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast with about 400 inhabitants.
geography
The urban-type settlement located in the Don Basin , about 17 kilometers east of Oblastzentrum Donetsk and 13 kilometers southeast from the city of Makiivka , whose urban district counts them away.
The place belongs to the settlement council of Proletarske (3 kilometers northwest), which is administratively assigned to the Stadtrajon Hirnyz within Makijiwka.
history
The place was created at the end of the 19th century in the course of coal mining in the region, initially carried the name Husselske-Ivanovskyj (Гусельське-Івановський) and was shortened to Husselske . In 1957, Husselske was given the status of an urban-type settlement, and since summer 2014 the place has been occupied by separatists from the Donetsk People's Republic during the war in Ukraine .
