Krynytschna (Ukrainian Кринична ; Russian Криничная / Krinitschnaja ) is an urban-type settlement in eastern Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast with about 4,500 inhabitants.
geography
The urban-type settlement located in the Don Basin , about 21 kilometers northeast of Oblastzentrum Donetsk and 10 kilometers northeast from the city of Makiivka , whose urban district counts them away, north-west of the village center runs the Seversky Donets Donbass Channel (Канал Сіверський Донець - Донбас) .
The settlements of Vasylivka (Василівка) and Lebjasche (Леб'яже) also belong to the settlement council of Krynytschna, which is administratively assigned to the Stadtrajon Soviet within Makijiwka .
In the eastern part of the village there is a large railroad crossing ( Horlivka-Taganrog and Jenakijewe-Donetsk ), from which the name of the place is derived.
history
The place emerged as a train station settlement from 1875, in 1938 Krynytschna got the status of an urban-type settlement, since summer 2014 the place has been occupied by separatists of the Donetsk People's Republic during the Ukraine War.
